If you gave me the money, I could pick it up and try to drive it to you.

Holy potato pictures... It doesn’t look too bad... I what they mean by frame work. If the frame is damaged, just bolt on a new one! If it’s rusty- walk away.

Unfortunately it’s a unibody, so no bolt-on frame. But everything’s fixable...

You pay for fuel?

The federal government owes me somewhere between three and five thousand dollars (one of the perks of working for the public service this year has been not getting paid properly...) so if that lands before the ad disappears we might have to work something out...

I’m way too familiar with Jeep unibodies. The MJ has a unibody cab with an actual frame under the bed that bolts to the unibody underneath the cab.

False. I’m even more familiar it seems. The frame is just an extension of the unibody “rails” from under the cab, welded to the cab itself. The frame isn’t even a normal frame, it’s a few layers of stamped sheet metal pressed together, the way most unibody vehicles are put together. The bed itself bolts into the “frame”, but that’s it. Bed, fenders, doors, hood, and header panel bolt on, the rest is effectively one piece.

Damn!!! You’re correct... It’s been a loooong time since I was under an MJ. Now I’m lost, trying to figure out where the hell I got that idea.

Heh. I was under an MJ today, but all I was doing was chasing that stupid squirrel out again.

I daily a ‘91 MJ. I’d post a picture if kinja didn’t fornicate with donkeys.

I’ve always wanted an MJ, and I’ve toyed with the idea of building an extended our crew cab MJ, but I’ve mostly just been under them to rob parts in the junkyard. Daily driving for me rotates between an XJ I’ve had for 14ish years and an ‘02 WJ. Unibody Jeeps for life!

Does the Brat have a removable rear frame? I’m going to lay awake tonight trying to figure out how that idea popped into my head...

I’ve had this MJ just over four years, my first car actually. I’m now on my second XJ, the first one died to give life back to the MJ. I also very briefly had a KJ, but my landlord decided I had too many vehicles on the property so it had to go.
